General Biographical Description: | Dr. Jacques S. Abramowicz is the Frances T. and Lester B. Knight Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University in Chicago. Previously he was Professor and Director of Obstetric and Gynecologic Ultrasound at the University of Chicago. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has special training in Ultrasound and Maternal Fetal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (AGOS). He was on the Board of Governors of AIUM until 2006 and is the past Chair of its Bioeffects Committee. He is Chair of the Bioeffects and Safety Committee of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG). He is Director of Ob/Gyn Ultrasound and Co-Director of the Rush Fetal and Neonatal Medicine program at Rush University Medical Center. He is the author of more than 130 peer-reviewed and 250 other articles, books, book chapters and presentations and was recognized as one of the Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists in America in Ob/Gyn Ultrasound from 2004-2008 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. |
