General Biographical Description: | Dr. Ananth is a (tenured) Professor and the founding Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ. In addition, Dr. Ananth also serves on the faculty in the Department of Epidemiology at UMDNJ-School of Public Health. Dr. Ananth is an Editor in the American Editorial Office of Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology.
Dr. Ananth's research interests fall in two broad overlapping areas: perinatal and reproductive epidemiology, and development and applications of innovative analytic approaches to studies in human reproduction. More recently, Dr. Ananth has been interested in exploring the genetic etiology of ischemic placental disease (a syndrome that includes preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction and placental abruption.) |
