General Biographical Description: Humberto Scoccia is Professor and Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois (2007-Present). He has trained in operative gynecologic endoscopy under the direction of Drs Melvin Cohen and Antonio Scommegna in Chicago, Illinois. Dr Scoccia has received many honors including the Physician Award of Excellence (1998) from Resolve, a patient advocacy group, was elected President of the Chicago Association of Reproductive Endocrinologists (1998-1999) and Secretary/Treasurer of the Chicago Association of Gynecologic Endoscopists (1992 to 2002). Dr Scoccia has been the Society for Reproductive Surgeons representative to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Practice Guidelines Committee (2001-2007). Dr Scoccia is an ad hoc member of many peer review publications including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility, Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery, International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Journal of Reproductive Medicine.

Special Interests: Reproductive endocrinology, infertility, assisted reproductive technology, endoscopy, infertility and reproductive cancer.
