General Biographical Description: | Dr Kaylen Silverberg, Medical Director of the Texas Fertility Center, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility. In addition to maintaining a private practice in Austin, Dr Silverberg also serves as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
A native of Dallas, Dr Silverberg graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BS in Molecular Biology and Business Administration. He attended Baylor College of Medicine, and performed his residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr Silverberg completed his infertility fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and remained on the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility until 1994. At the University, Dr Silverberg directed the Assisted Reproductive Technology Program and the IVF Laboratory, as well as the Donor Oocyte and Donor Sperm Programs, prior to moving to Austin to co-found the Texas Fertility Center.
Dr Silverberg has received extensive infertility-related research grant support from private industry and the National Institutes of Health. He is widely published in the infertility literature, and has also authored several chapters in textbooks of gynecology and infertility.
Dr Silverberg is listed in Best Doctors in America and he frequently lectures both nationally and internationally on his areas of research interest. He served on the Board of Directors of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) as a Clinical Director and as Secretary/Treasurer. Dr Silverberg also serves as a consultant and clinical investigator for numerous Fortune 500 Companies, including several pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and managed care companies.
