Blood Alcohol

Blood alcohol levels are determined for toxicology and legal purposes.

In many jurisdictions, a blood alcohol level of 100 mg/dl defines the threshold for "driving while under the influence of alcohol". In other jurisdictions, the threshold is 80 mg/dl.

Diabetic ketoacidosis may falsely elevate blood alcohol levels.
